Self-evaluation.

What I learned:

From shooting the film, I learned that timing is key. If things aren't done on time, plans will not go as expected. Also, if things aren't done on time, many elements and ideas that were planned to be in the video will end up not being in the video, and essentially wasted. I found that I was lacking in this area. I also learned that many things, even though you try, will not go as planned. When this happens, someone just has to be quick on their feet and respond as gracefully as possible. On another note, being pressured in that sort of situation helps creativity as well.

The strengths of the project:

The strengths that my teammate and I hope to show are the creativity and the effort put in to make it as close to the initial idea. Also, we hope that the idea to use a local artist shows our support for local arts and musicians. Both my teammate and I are very active in supporting local acts. We may prefer different genres of music but the passion burns inside. We hope to have projected that in this pilot.

We could have worked harder at:

Keeping to our schedule. That's about it. Other than that working in a team of two worked out pretty well. There weren't many creative differences, instead we discussed in a very professional manner and we respected each other's tastes and creativity. Due to the group being so small, there was not much to debate on.

Changes I would make if I had to do it again:

Plan things out properly. I would definitely be more experienced the next time so I would manage the talents and the schedule better. I would also use a different program to edit my video. I feel that the program I used did not do the idea my teammate and I had in mind any justice.
